In the meanwhile, I have achieved a fair daily pace in completing requests.

Therefore. even though I only took requests that were nearby, I somehow managed to raise my adventurer rank to D.

「Eleanor has been strengthened for a while now, so I think we should be heading to Midoria the capital of the Midogal Kingdom soon. I want to raise my rank further but that would have to wait till I get to Midoria. 」

First Request Achievement

I, Eleanor had my world changed since I met Goshujin-sama that day.

Goblin magic stones are 2 copper coins each there are 44 here. Slime magic stones are 1 copper coin each and we have 63 here. So, the total comes to 4 gold coins, 8 silver coins and 1 copper coin.

It was a total of 5 gold coins, 6 silver coins and 6 copper coins for the request rewards and the material sales.

It is a little insufficient to cover the 10 days of inn accommodation that I paid in advance, I think I can get more when our rank goes up, I’ll head back to today and work hard again tomorrow.

Adventurer Registration

Eleanor and I left the inn and made our way to the clothes shop without getting lost.
After entering the clothing store, I told Eleanor to buy six sets of clothes and underwear.
I decided that I should also buy some clothes, while properly choosing at my own discretion, a sales assistant came up to me and recommended a variety of things.

I finalised our account, put my clothes in the item box then looked to Eleanor to see how she was doing.
Eleanor was looking at a variety of clothes with a smile on her face, but it seemed that she was still lost.
It seems that the longer one was living the slave life the harder it was to choose clothes for oneself, so I guess it can’t be helped? I also thought.
So I decided to wait for Eleanor to finish choosing.

Additionally, due to the remarkably increased ability, EX and S ranks have a large influence.
Requests types available are urgent requests, nomination requests, escort requests, ordinary requests, and permanent requests.
The requests are set according to the rank.
One can receive requests up to one level higher than one’s rank.
Please let us know at the guild counter once you complete a successful request.
We will check the guild card here and determine the success or failure of the request.
Please note that depending on the request, there might also be a requirement for the signature of the client on the request form.
In addition, in the case of a failure of the request, you will pay 30% of the request fee to the guild as a fine.
For emergency requests, adventurers who are C ranked or higher it is always obliged to join almost forcibly.

From the D rank to the C rank is 80 points.
From the C rank to the B rank it is 100 points.
From B rank to A rank it is 150 points.
There are 200 points from A rank to S rank, or obtaining an achievement.
From the S rank to the EX rank is not a point system, but this is decided by a conference when obtaining an achievement.
Requests beyond the B ranking will be more difficult, and range of the difficulty level increases, so the achievement points will be different for each request.
Achievement points can range from 5 to 10 points.
Please note that the number of people that can accept a quest differs.
The limitations for the number of people is listed on the request.
Many adventurers work together in parties, in addition to parties, there are mutually beneficial organisations of high ranks called clans.
When setting up a party, notifying the guild is recommended but it is not mandatory, but contacting the guild is essential when establishing a clan.
Among the benefits of the clan is, information is easy to get, adventurers are flexible with each other, help is easily available when trouble occurs, etc.
The adventurer guild is an organization independent of the country, and the country does not have any authority on it.
Even though countries do not have authority on the guild, the adventurer guild can’t protect against trouble caused by nobles.
As a reaction to that, as a deterrent, many adventurers move between towns so as to avoid accepting nomination requests from cruel nobles.
As for adventurers, there are also a lot of people who are rough and adventurers are all responsible for themselves and have to solve their own problems between each other and the adventurer guild basically does not mediate.
The guild can offer facilities for duels between adventurers.
Concerning the duel between adventurers, we will decide on the acknowledgment of the dual and the wager value.
Regarding injury or life and death that occurred at that time, neither attention nor attention from the guild will be done.
In regards to injury or death occurring during the duel, there won’t be any guild penalty or criminal offence.
In addition to that, the guild would act as a proxy for bets and collection of betted items.
If you bring the monster material to the guild counter, you will receive a small amount in the counter as it is, in case of large amounts you will have to go to the dismantling place, convert the material and cash it in there.
The dismantling place is at the end of the door to the left of me.

In this way, a new life as adventurers of Eleanor and I began.

While we continued our journey to the next town, I got Eleanor to attack weak monsters to temper her.

Thanks to her efforts, it has been effective, I thought that Eleanor was getting stronger although it is a little bit at a time.

There is only a single skill level.

In order to successfully attach a skill to a soul, one can only use it on the same person once every 10 days.

 

Status Growth speed up: Assigned to Eleanor.

After that, within my skill stock, there is status enhancement and skill growth speed up.

Using creation, I tried to make skills to deprive skill and status of demons and people but could not make it.

This is because skills and status are tied to people and demons who possess those skills.

When I use creation and when I can not make the skill I want to make, I can instinctively understand why I can not make it.

That’s how I understand my failure.

The reason why I can transfer my skills to stock skills is that I made those skills with creation before connecting to them to my soul and because skills that do not have soul ties can be created.

When I do not stock the skills I made with creation, there is a connection of my soul from the beginning, so even if I acquire a new skill every day it does not matter.

However, in the case of skill transfer, in order to adapt skills that are not tied to the soul, it can not be used by the same person more than once in 10 days.

At first, I wanted to transfer status enhancement, but as it was Eleanor’s MP was not enough yet, so I made the status growing speed up earlier instead.

As soon as she hits 500MP capacity, I’d do the transfer.

As we continued travelling in that pace and manner, finally the last town of Ustenia came into sight.

The name of the town is Sumeria.

This is a city near the border with Midogal, I think that the population is bigger than Dallas.

It is definitely bigger than Dallas.

I got close to the gate and queued up in the line.

The line was pretty long, and if we progressed at the current speed, it will take about thirty minutes.

Whilst queuing up, I was thinking about registering as an adventurer in this town.

「Welcome to the town of Sumeria.

Do you have an identity card? May I take it that the young lady there is your slave being that she has a slave collar?」

The macho ikemen gatekeeper whose age looks to be around 20 years old, asked for the presentation of an identification card, but I told him I do not have it because I do not have one.

As Eleanor is a slave, she does not have one either.

Though even a slave can obtain ID card by registering as an adventurer, I heard that Eleanor was not registered as one.

Also, with a slave’s identity card, it certifies the slave’s ownership to its master.

「Otherwise, may I check your criminal record with this magic tool, can you please place your hand here? This magic tool glow red when there is a record of crimes such as murder, robbery, theft, rape, etc. It glows blue if there is nothing. Shall we?

Of course, killing by legitimate defence is no problem. Since we read the information from one’s soul, one can not hide it.

When we heard the explanation Eleanor and I nodded respectively.

Then, I touched the magic tool with my hand.

Various inns have touts announcing their availability, but I decided on an inn with a bath so I listened out for a tout announcing a good inn with a bath.

The price is high, but there is an inn with a proper bath.

I got the tout to take me to that inn.

Looking at the exterior of the inn, it seems like a pretty impressive inn, it was a brick three-story building.

「Welcome!」

When entering the inn, a rotund middle-aged lady was at the counter.

Furthermore, looking at the inn, it was quiet and the atmosphere was good.

I decided to stay here.

「So, there are 2 guests. We have 2 options. there are two single rooms for four silver coin per room per night and a double room for 6 silver coins per room per night. In the double room, you can choose between twin and double beds. Breakfast and dinner are not included in the price. The meal times are from 6:00 to 10:00 in the morning and from 18:00 to 23:00 in the evening. You will get charged extra if you are late. A meal costs a single silver coin. Since the bath is attached to the room, please use it freely. I will charge the hot water magic tool when requested, there will be no cost to you.」

As Eleanor is a slave, I guess it OK for her to share a room with me.

However, as for the bed, for the sake of my rationality, we will have to go for the twin option.

For the charging of magical power, there is no problem.

「It will be fine, I’ll charge the tool with magical power myself. I would like a double room with twin beds for 10 days. I also would like a meal for now, so can I have 2 meals please? I thanked the lady for the directions to the clothes shop and the location of the adventurer guild, I decided not to go to the room because we had no baggage in particular, then I went to the table that the lady pointed to.

When I got to the table and sat down, Eleanor sat on the floor, so I rushed up and got her to sit on a chair.

I explained that I would be happy if Eleanor does not sit on the floor when having meals with me in the future.

I don’t want anyone sitting on the floor whilst I was eating at a table ……

As the meal is being brought, we eat white bread with the stew.

And because the orc meat was a little light on the flavour, I used my trump card, yakiniku sauce (Japanese BBQ sauce).

Eleanor wanted some sauce as well, so I put it on for her.

With that, the meal was delicious.

This was definitely a luxury inn here because the average inn that I looked up at the library was five copper coins for a night.

A bath was necessary and it would be unpleasant if the meal was not delicious either, so even though it was expensive, it was good here.

We finished eating, so I decided to head to the clothing store and the adventurer guild.

Eleanor and Camping

The beastman girl’s name seems to be Eleanor.

While taking a break, I listened to Eleanor’s life story.

At first, I tried to release her slavery status via dark magic, I want to try it at any cost.

She said she wanted to repay me for saving her from becoming the bandit’s slave.

Even if she was freed from being a slave, she insisted 「I’m coming!」

My intuition was telling me that she was not a bad person, so I decided to let her tag along because really, I had no choice.

It seems that she used to hunt monsters in the past and can handle weak monsters.

If I use creation, I should be able to assist in her strengthening.

My current objective is to reunite with Airi and Lisa in Midogal.

So, from now on I will travel around the world and see various things.

I decided to make new clothes for Eleanor because hers are all tattered.

Even if you say clothes, because the only material I have is monster skin, the dress will have to be made out of leather.

After listening to Eleanor himself, I also asked about slaves.

Since I was only five years old when I was in Dallas, I did not know the details of this world’s slavery system.

Because I was not interested, I did not look it up at the library either.

According to the story I heard from Eleanor, there seem to be other slave property rights other than what I heard about in the village.

It is said that if the owner dies for some reason, the slave belongs to the person that has found it, there are many such cases in dungeons.

Because I think there are various businesses that rely on slaves, I don’t think slavery will be abolished.

However, I will treat my slave with respect and with the dignity a person deserves.

While we were making weapons, dresses and item pouches for Eleanor, we finished listening to her life story and the in and outs of slavery, so we decided to depart.

During the time I was manufacturing Eleanor’s items, she looked at me intently with sparkling eyes.

I wonder if she is interested in her clothes?

However, regarding girls’ clothes, I was ashamed of what I’ve made because I have no sense.

It was just processing the leather and arranging the appearance of the dress.

I was afraid to give it to her but since she received it with a wide grin, I think she is pretty happy.

As I’ve gotten together with Eleanor, the speed of my journey has fallen, but it has become much more comfortable than when I have been travelling alone for all this time.

I think that I was mentally and spiritually exhausted because I’ve lost three people.

We walked till the evening and decided to set up camp.

I nodded to Eleanor’s request.

First of all, light magic is used to create a barrier and the grill for grilling meat and a chair that has also been created is made with earth magic.

A partition was made with mud wall and two hot baths with fire, water, earth magic.

Eleanor watches me suspiciously.

I’ll just keep working to improve the mood.

I took out shampoo, conditioner and body soap from the item box and handed it to Eleanor.

Until a short while ago, she had tattered clothes, her hair and body were dirty and I could not flatter her and call her beautiful.

However, she looks beautiful now after her bath.

And I was surprised that her usual figure was pretty cute.

She has a bob cut hairstyle.

Her ears have chestnut coloured tips and a chestnut coloured tail.

She has slightly drooping eyes and a generous well-developed chest.

Her height is around 155cm.

Because I am also a man, travelling with cute girls as expected makes me happy, so I thought this was fine.

I did not really care that she was ruining her cute face by eating too quickly.

After eating, I intended on passing my time chatting to Eleanor.

I was getting tired as we chatted till midnight and Eleanor was dozing off.

Seeing that, I urged Eleanor to go to sleep in the tent.

After that, I thought about the direction I should take to strengthen Eleanor.

Considering we would be travelling together in the future, I think that it is necessary to power up the basics even if our weapons and armour were different.

After thinking a lot, I finally gathered my ideas, so I decided to sleep after using creation.

Due to the fact that I had a barrier up, there were no problems with sleeping.

The barrier would negate an intrusion.

Matching with my growth, the strength of the barrier was getting stronger and stronger.

Eleanor was already sleeping, I made the tent larger, so I saw no problems sleeping there too.

It goes without saying for the health of my sanity, there has to be some distance when we sleep in the same tent.

Eleanor

My name is Eleanor.

I’m 15 years old and I’m part of the dog beastman race.

I was born is a regional city called Rusoburu in the Fur Milan Kingdom.

I am a slave.

When I was little, my mother died, as far back as I can remember, all I’ve had was my father.

Since father lost mother, he could not heal the wound in his heart and he drank all the time.

When I was younger, we seemed to have enough money but when I got to 10 years old, my father told me 「You need to start earning money because times are tough.」 So I hunted in the forest for a daily income.

That sort of life ended when I became 13.

The reason for that was my father died.

Father seemed to have borrowed money when he was alive, a slave merchant arrived at my home as soon as father died.

In place of my father’s debt, I became a slave.

When I became a slave, I was educated a lot and I was bought by Oran, a merchant, at the age of four when I could read and write to some extent.

Compared with before being a slave, the quality and amount of meals, the amount of sleep and place to sleep was terrible.

However, as long as I have performed my duties to the business properly, there was no violence, so I think that it was better than the horrible stories of other slaves I had heard about.

Such a life continued for a year, then a 100 bandits attacked the village where master was trading at.

Due to being the one with gold, the merchant was the one that stood out, master was killed.

That instant, I knew my future, despair struck.

Though I was not killed, my treatment was determined as I was a slave.

If the owner of a slave was killed, the ownership of said slave goes to the killer.

Even if the killer of the owner has been caught by the town guards, the ownership gets transferred to the lord of the town. As the village has been overrun, I think that option is now no longer possible.

Until now, my master had not laid his hands on my body as long as I did the books for the business but it already seems obvious what the bandits would be like.

If only my first person would have a decent personality.

I’m still a girl after all.

Just as I watched the village getting trampled in despair, I noticed the thieves were getting dispatched to the next life quickly by a silver-haired man.

And, with surprising swiftness, the person who was called the leader of the bandits who killed my master and became my owner newly also died.

Looking at that scene, at last, the remaining bandits ran away.

I think that the next owner has become the man with the silver hair and so I will go greet him. (TN: She has such a ruff life, bad pun, I know but it had to be made!)

I am nervous.

Even though I despaired a little while ago……

The silver-haired man is so strong and cool.

This is bad!

Listening to the story, apparently, she was the slave of a merchant who unfortunately got killed by a bandit, then that bandit was sent to the great beyond by me.

So it seemed that her ownership went from the merchant to the bandit then to me.

So the collar that this child is wearing is a slavery collar?

He was an earl and feudal lord of the town of Dallas.

He was killed in a massive explosion created by Sarah.

The eldest son of Pierre von Windsor.

He was aiming to make Sarah his mistress, in his actions to do this, caused Sarah to lose control and was killed in the explosion that Sarah caused.

 

 

Carla, 19 years old at time of death.

Under orders from Alfred, she was temporarily employed by the adventurer guild in Dallas just to get to Dan.

Maid of the Windsor family.

She was killed in the explosion created by Sarah.

It was sealed by the Black Dragon many years ago, and at that time 【Time of mourning Labyrinth】 was created.

Each new journey

 

As soon as I subjugated the Black Dragon, I felt the heavy atmosphere around me scatter.

As I quickly disassembled the corpse of the Black Dragon, put it in the item box and looked around the boss room, there was a transfer point that seemed to be for escaping and there was another room in the back, I will investigate it.

As I entered, I found a Chronos trapped in a crystal.

As I examine the metals, Mythril was the most common, there was silver, gold, and also a little Orichalcum, so I decided to keep them in the item box as well.

When I looked at the red gem, I concluded that it was most likely the dungeon core.

In order to prevent a stampede from occurring in the future, I removed the dungeon core from the wall and put it in the item box.

After waiting for about 20 minutes, it seems that the crystal has completely melted down, Chronos regained consciousness and started talking to me.

「 Louis, thank you for helping me this time.

Now that the seal has melted, my spiritual body has become one with me and the memories of my spiritual body have come to me too, I now understand the situation.
