    There is a dungeon called 『The Labyrinth of Time’s Lament』two days’ walk north of Dallas.
    The Labyrinth of Time’s Lament was a dungeon that had yet to be cleared, but there are many other dungeons around the world that have yet to be explored.
    This dungeon had a lot of users, and since the adventurers were properly thinning out the monsters on a daily basis, the possibility of a stampede should have been extremely low.
    The maximum number of floors in the Labyrinth of Time’s Lament is 45 at the moment.
    The shallow levels are relatively beginner-friendly, with goblins, hobgoblins, and slimes appearing.
    As you move further into the levels, orcs and ogres appear, and the enemies become stronger and stronger. Steadily and slowly attacking the place was helping adventurers to successfully build their skills.
    There is a boss room on every tenth floor, with the tenth floor boss being the goblin leader, the twentieth floor being the orc leader, the thirtieth floor being the ogre leader, and the fortieth floor being the chimera.
    And now, monsters were crawling out from the labyrinth of lament.
    The last time a stampede occurred was 120 years ago. The scene was unfolding in a way that no one’s brain would immediately understand or want to understand.
    The four members of 『Sasaraka』, a mid-level B-rank adventuring party that is mainly active in Dallas, were on their way to the Labyrinth of Time’s Lament on this day.
    When they reached the plains, only a day’s distance away from the dungeon, all the party members who saw the far side of the plains stood still for a while in utter amazement.
    Then they managed to reboot their brains and realized that a stampede had occurred, and they ran to the adventurer’s guild in Dallas, using their physical enhancements to the limit.

    On this day, the Adventurer’s Guild was crowded with adventurers, travelers trying to get information, merchants, nobles, and all sorts of other people.
    The reason for this is the information from the members of 『Sasaraka』 who came to report to the Adventurer’s Guild yesterday.
    Currently, the guild was writing to the lord with the information they had sorted out, while making arrangements to send an urgent request.
    Emergency requests are almost compulsory for adventurers of C rank or higher to participate in. If you have no choice but to refuse, you must pay a fine of 10 platinum coins.
    Adventurers of D rank or lower are also allowed to participate, though at their own risk.
    After all preparations are complete, the guild master sounds the alarm twice with the special alarm tool that is installed in every adventurer’s guild in this world.
    This magic tool has been specially processed to deliver alarms to a radius of 100 kilometers.
    When the alarm sounds, citizens evacuate and adventurers gather at the adventurer’s guild.
    After these two alarms, one more similar alarm would sound. This is the same alarm from the lord’s house, urging citizens to evacuate, but the guards and the lord’s private army gather in the square near the lord’s house.

    When I heard the report from Galwin and the incomprehensible alarm, I couldn’t understand anything.
    I looked over at Dan, Sarah, and Airi, each of them reacting in their own way.
    Dan looked annoyed and reluctant, and Sarah looked shocked and pale.
    Airi, like me, didn’t seem to fully understand what was going on.
    Dan says angrily and hatefully, as if he is very angry.

    「What’s everyone going to do?　I think we all have to take emergency requests because of our rank. …… I’m not retired either, so I need to go to the guild.」
    「Okay, listen up, everybody.」

    Dan, with power in his eyes and a serious expression on his face, spoke to all of them.
    I looked at Dan, judging from his demeanor that this was an important conversation, and so did everyone else.
    Then we listened to Dan.
    The story was that Alfred had demanded Sarah as his wife, and that Dan had been looking for a solution to this unreasonable selfishness, but had been having trouble finding one.
    He thought that this stampede would be a turning point in a way, and he explained it now.
    After hearing the explanation, she realized the reason for Dan’s recent strange behavior and felt the pain of his love for his family, so she cried and apologized to Dan and hugged him.
    Dan hugged Sara and began to talk to her, 「I have a proposal」.

    「You’ll have to visit the Adventurer’s Guild…… to see how big it is first. However, we’ll have to solve Alfred’s case anyway, but now we should be able to get out of the city without any problems. During the Stampede, citizens will be evacuated and I don’t think the gatekeepers will be functioning. I don’t think they’d let an adventurer with an urgent request out of the city.」

    The city is surrounded by stone walls in a European style.

    As I came to the entrance of the city, I was stopped by armed soldiers.

    There are two soldiers, equipped with simple armour and long spears.

    「Stop!　Where do you come from?」

    「Eeh?」

    「Answer me.」

    The soldier thrust his spear at me.

    「Let’s see, …… if you’re asking me where I’m from.」

    I hesitated. They wouldn’t understand if I said Japan.

    「Why won’t you answer me, why?」

    「You’re wearing strange clothes that I’ve never seen before.」

    「Suspicious little bastard.」

    「Eeeeeeeeh」

    That’s kind of to be expected, I guess. Sure, I’m wearing a full-length boiler suit●I guess you can say what I’m wearing seems weird.

    ……Aah but, it’s just a curiosity, isn’t it?

    It’s a far cry from the outfits of the inhabitants of the city, let alone the soldiers.

    The first people I met were a princess, a knight, and bandits.

    These soldiers were the next ones I met.

    So I didn’t even take notice that the clothes I wore were different from the average person.

    Well, what should I do? …….

    「If you don’t answer, then I’ll have to apprehend you…」

    「Wait. Look at that.」

    One of the soldiers tried to grab me, but the other one stopped him.

    The person who stopped me pointed at my waist.

    I looked to see what was going on, and there was the fan that Princess Helene had given me. I had it in my pocket, so the top half was showing.

    「Aaah, you mean this?」

    I took out a fan and opened it to show him.

    I looked at the crest and it looked sort of significant.

    「It’s the royal coat of arms!　And a fan, which means it’s ……」

    「Belonged to Her Highness, Helene?　No, but I’m sure Her Highness doesn’t give gifts very often. It’s been rumoured that the Marquis of Knights asked for it when he was successful in battle, but he never received it.」

    「But ……」

    「No, but…」

    The two soldiers began to whisper to each other.

    If what they’re saying is true, this seems like a tremendously amazing thing.

    I stared at the fan.

    I remember the time it was given to me and the person who gave it to me.

    Princess Helene. …….

    「Excuse us.」

    「──. W, what is it?」

    The soldier’s call made me jump and I rushed to answer him.

    「Would you allow me to test it to see if it’s real?」

    Perhaps it was the fan, but the soldier was much more reserved than before.

    「If it were genuine, it would be imbued with the magic of the royal family.」

    「Um, ……, what do I do?」

    「Excuse us.」

    The soldier held his hand up towards the fan and chanted something.

    Then, with a faint light emanating from the fan, the crest appeared in three dimensions.

    「I, I’m sorry!」

    「Please come through!」

    Apparently, now he could tell it was real.

    The two soldiers looked even more horrified, and holding up their spears, they struck an erect, unmoving pose.

    I walked through the entrance.

    Some of the residents near the entrance had seen the commotion and had turned into onlookers, watching me from afar.

    I wanted to know, so I walked towards the building and went inside.

    Inside was the wagon and the beast from earlier. There were men doing the heavy lifting to get it down, and a man in charge.

    I approached the man in charge and asked him.

    「Excuse me.」

    「Hmm, what is it?　Are you another would-be hunter?」

    「…… will you buy it from me if I hunt it down?」

    It seemed like a quick conversation, so I decided to go along with it.

    「Yeah, hunt down this mountain ox and I’ll buy it for a reasonable price.」

    「Mountain Ox …… Is this an ox?」

    I looked at the beast.

    It certainly looks like an ox, but with its long mane and sharp tusks, it looks quite fierce.

    To be honest, it doesn’t look like a herbivore, it looks like a carnivore.

    「Are you alone?　No offence, but if you don’t have anyone to help you, you shouldn’t do it. This guy is dangerous unless you have four or five skilled people or ten inexperienced people.」

    「Is that so?」

    Ah. The meat is incredibly tasty and delicious, but it is very dangerous to hunt. Well, that’s what I’m paying you for.」

    「…… Can you tell me where I can find this guy for now?」

    I said and asked where it was located.

    The man told me to make sure I went with the right people to help me until the end, but I thought I could handle it.

    Relying on the map the man had given me, I left the city and came to a nearby meadow.

    There’s a meadow with a mountain nearby, and it looks like there’s a mountain ox around here somewhere. ……

    「Whoa, there it is.」

    I saw it in the distance.

    To be precise, I saw a group of people in the middle of hunting mountain oxen.

    The group consisted of six people, three in the vanguard and three in the rear.

    「Either there’s already someone here, which means I’ ll have to go and find another one……」

    That’s what I thought, so I left and tried to find another target.

    I ran through the distance of about a hundred meters at once and tackled the mountain ox.

    The mountain ox flew off but got back up.

    It seems to be sturdier than humans.

    I charged after him. I then punched the mountain ox in the side of its head.

    It’s just a plain punch, but it’s a serious punch.

    The mountain ox flailed, flew in the air, spinning like a drill, then fell back down, unable to get up.

    I carried the mountain ox back to town (it was surprisingly light, probably because my arm strength had improved) and took it to the store I had just visited.

    「Did you by any chance do this alone?」

    「That’s a big deal. Aaa, it definitely is.」

    The man looked at me in admiration, then hurriedly took out a cloth bag and handed it to me.

    Inside the bag was a large number of silver coins that I had never seen before. He took out the whole bag in a flash, so this is probably the market price.

    「Hey, man, can you hunt this guy down on a regular basis?　If you keep bringing them in, I’ll give you an extra ten percent on the purchase price.」

I don’t think they want me to hear what they are saying to each other, and I don’t think they will probably tell me.
    　That’s why the air in the house is so tense. Airi didn’t know what was going on either, and she was having a hard time talking to Dan and Sarah.
    Yesterday, Sarah was locked in her room.
    When I talked to Dan, he told me that the two of them had argued yesterday and that’s what happened.

    The attackers are still foul-mouthed and look like bandits or the like, while the defenders wear armour with emblems and talk like knights of some kind.

    Yeah, I guess it’s a good thing I helped.

    So I turned to the bandits.

    「What the fuck is that? ……」

    The frightened bandits were all blown away by the …… tackles, which were a bit …… restrained for the most part.

    「Thank you for your help.」

    The man who seemed to be the leader of the knights put away his sword and thanked me.

    「My name is Fotis.」

    「Oh, umm ……, I’m Yuuki, Yuuki Kakeru. It’s hard to write in kanji, so just use Kakeru.」

    「Kanji.. huh?」

    「A,Aaa. No, it’s nothing. Just call me Kakeru.」

    Fotis’ reaction made me realize that there are probably no Kanji characters in this world.

    We were suddenly able to have a normal conversation, so I just said “kanji” in a usual way.

    「I see. Thank you for your help, Kakeru-dono. I don’t know what would have happened if you hadn’t helped.」

    Fotis said sincerely.

    The two of us, Fotis and I are standing there now.

    Before I showed up, two of what looked like Fotis’ companions had already been defeated, and there were more than ten enemies left.

    The fallen knight is now up and being patched up, but even now he doesn’t look like he can fight properly.

    If it had gone on like that, it would have been a「what could have happened」situation for sure.

    A woman emerged from inside.

    My voice leaked out. That’s how beautiful the woman who came out of the carriage was.

    She was wearing a pure white dress and a shining tiara.

    Long golden hair and pointy ears.

    She carried herself with elegance, grace.

    She got out of the carriage and stood in front of me, with the help of Fotis.

    「My name is Helene Teresia Mercouri. I’m the third princess of the Kingdom of Mercouri.」

    「A,Aaa…… I’m Kakeru….. I think I said that, earlier?」

    I was so overtaken by her beauty that I said my name again, even though I was sure she had heard it in the carriage.

    「Thank You, Kakeru-sama」

    　Princess Helene thanked me with a serious expression.

    「No, no, no, no, no, I didn’t do anything important.」

    I faltered.

    Of all the women I had seen, Princess Helene was without a doubt the most beautiful.

    I gazed admiringly at Princess Helene.

    「By all rights, I should invite Kakeru-sama to the royal palace and thank you profusely but I’m on my way to the front to offer comfort.」

    「U,Un……」

    「But I will reward you for this.」

    Princess Helene pulled out her hand with a swoosh.

    She gave me what was in her hand.

    I received it and examined it.

    It’s a folding fan with a magnificent coat of arms on it.

    As soon as I held it in my hands, I could feel the warmth and the nice fragrance permeated.

    「If you are visiting the Royal Palace, please stop by.」

    「Show that to the castle guards, and they will understand.」

    Fotis gave a supplementary explanation.

    Before I could react properly, Princess Helene got back on the carriage and left with Fotis and the two injured knights managed to get moving.

    I was left to sit around in a daze for a while after that.

    I mumbled, but my head, which had finally started to work after she was completely gone, I understood that it was too early to put it in the past tense.

    I’m going to translate from the beginning to provide a sense of consanguinity between the translation from chapter to chapter. I’d rather not have a sense of abruptness from one translation to the next.

    I received one of those raffle tickets when I was shopping, and even though I don’t think I’m going to win anything, I’m still standing in line.

    I looked at the list of the prizes while the people in front of me were getting tissue participation prizes one after the other.

    It’s an ordinary list, but I’m really curious about the first prize.

    Considering the 2nd prize is a trip for 2 to a hot spring, it’s probably an overseas trip or something like it.

    While I was thinking about such things, the line progressed.

    Garan Garan, I heard the clanging of a hand bell.

    The guy in front of me seems to have won something.

    「Congratulations!　What a surprise!　You’ve won first prize!」

    「Aaaa,Yes!」

    The guy did a triumphant pose.

    「Pleas come to the back so that I can explain the prize to you.」

    The man was led into the back by a staff member.

    Now that the previous person is gone, it’s my turn.

    A staff member put a big X in the first place with a magic marker. That means it’s gone.

    「Well, it looks like the smartphone is still there, so let’s just give it a spin.」

    I hand the lottery ticket to the staff member and spin the lottery machine.

    「Oooo!」

    Garan Garan Garan, the staff rang the hand bell.

    「Eh, is this for real?」

    I was surprised, because I didn’t expect to win.

    I watch a ball come out. The ball is rainbow-coloured.

    I then look at the list of prizes.

    1st prize is gold, 2nd prize is silver, 3rd prize is copper red and 4th and 5th prizes are blue and yellow respectively.

    Nowhere does it say anything about a rainbow colour.

    「What’s this?」

    Magic has nine attributes, which are 〈Light Magic〉, 〈Dark Magic〉, 〈Fire Magic〉, 〈Water Magic〉, 〈Wind Magic〉, 〈Earth Magic〉, 〈Lightning Magic〉, 〈Gravity Magic〉, and 〈Space-Time Magic〉.
    There is also a unique type of magic known as compound magic, which is a free combination of all nine of these spells.

    【Light Magic】
    It can recover HP and various abnormalities, and can also prevent attacks by casting wards.

    The amount of increase is Skill level x 10%.

    Any amount of MP can be pooled and withdrawn at any time for use. The maximum MP you can pool is Skill level x 100.

    I acquired the 〈MP Pool〉 for when I needed to create skills that my parents Dan, Sarah, and Airi had, or new skills that weren’t there, and for when an emergency arose. I think it’s a pretty good Skill because it can be used as a pseudo-maximum MP increase method.
    For a while now, Dan has been giving me a quick lesson in Sword Arts. It’s just sword fighting with wooden swords.
    It’s hard to do much these days, though, since he’s not around most of the time.
    In my previous life, I was a karate fighter, so my 〈Grappling〉 ability growth is quite fast.
    I think it’s partly because of 〈Accelerated Skill Growth〉.
    　Well, I can’t compare the results with and without 〈Accelerated Skill Growth〉, so I’m not sure how it feels. ……
    The magic I’ve been longing for has been taught to me by Sarah in the garden after I’ve acquired each magic Skill.
    In the beginning, every time I activated it, the power of the magic would increase or decrease, making it unstable and a little dangerous. However, after I learned 〈Magic Manipulation〉, I was able to use it with the power that I had imagined.
    However, the garden is not that big, so it is not possible to use dangerous magic.

    In this world, books are quite expensive, so even if you want to read them, you wouldn’t be able to read much.
    Dan and Sarah sometimes buy me picture books, but …… I’m not really three years old and I don’t want picture books.

    《６ Appraisal at the Church》

    「Airi, please change Louis’ clothes.」
    Sarah smiled at Airi while asking her to change me.

    「Yes, certainly Sarah-sama.」

    Airi answered with an immensely delighted grin on her face.
    In her hand, she had my change of clothes.
    　As soon as she replied to Sarah, she came over and started getting ready to get me dressed, so I took the clothes from Airi’s hands and tried to change myself. ……

    「Louis-sama, please stay still while I change you please.」

    「Louis, that’s the church. I hope you have good skills, but if you don’t have a good skills, you don’t have to worry about it! No matter what kind of Skill you have, Mama will always be on your side, Louis-chan.」

    The reason why I’m not saying anything about it is because I got the 〈Appraisal〉skill not to long after I was born. As expected, it would be too suspicious if I told them I remembered that period.

    When we entered the church, Sarah finally stopped carrying me and let me down.
    And soon, someone who appears to be a Sister appears.
    Sarah says,「I’m here for this child’s one-year appraisal」and hands the person a jangling little bag. She was handed a small bag, and after checking the contents, she said,「Please follow me here」and started walking. The sachet probably had some money in it?
    Sarah and I followed the sister to a small room that looked like a confessional on Earth.
    The sister urged me,「Please enter the Appraisal room and wait.」
    Sarah took me by the hand and we walked into the Appraisal room, and the Sister said,「Please wait a little longer」 and left.
    After waiting for a while with Sarah, we heard footsteps coming towards us and stopped in front of the Appraisal room.
    The next thing I heard was a voice that sounded like a middle-aged man.

    「I’m sorry for the delay. I’m going to put on the 〈Appraisal〉now. This 〈Appraisal〉will be the type that appears only in the Appraisal room. I will leave this place after I apply the〈Appraisal〉, so you may leave as soon as you have finished checking the results.」

    As soon as the man’s voice ceased, my status details appeared in the form of a plate in the air.

    「Louis-chan is a genius, isn’t he?　I’d rather write “genius” and read “Louis-chan” too!」

    To be honest, I’m getting more and more embarrassed as I’ve been subject to this for a while now.
    　But I’m also very happy that they’re so happy.
    Dan isn’t home most of the time, but I’m still grateful for the two people who are my parents now, and I’m extremely grateful to Airi for taking care of me.

    「Louis’ life and skills are Louis’ own. As for your skills, you can use them as you see fit. Just don’t do anything dangerous. If you need any advice, I’m here for you.」
